Thanks, and Merry Christmas December 19, 2007 We want to wish all SDACT members and their families a blessed Christmas and a peace-filled and prosperous New Year. Just like at your house during this time of year, we at SDACT are counting our blessings and giving thanks for all the good things that have happened over the last year. So, thank you for your unwavering support of our efforts over the last very trying year, as we have struggled to re-form and gain recognition for our union. We in the leadership continue to be awed by the sense of solidarity out there among our teachers, and it is this which causes us to look forward to the new year and its challenges with eager anticipation. The only regret we have is that, generally, Christmas wishes are accompanied by presents. We’re sorry that because of circumstances beyond our control, we were unable to fill your Christmas stockings with that contract we know that everyone was wishing for. Don’t lose heart though; we in the leadership of the SDACT have, as our number one new year’s resolution, the goal of obtaining that justly-deserved, long-overdue gift for our membership.
